Flight Instruction Services
I provide a variety of flight instruction services to clients in the Orlando, Florida area. As someone who has done all of his flight training while working full-time, I understand the challenges many students face with the traditional flight school environment, and I aim to provide a more flexible, personalized approach to flight training. I became a flight instructor because I love teaching, not because I am time-building, and I am very invested in seeing my students succeed. I have experience flying in all 50 US States, 7 Canadian Provinces, and the Bahamas, and I believe in helping my students reach beyond the training environment and experience everything that General Aviation has to offer!
I can offer flight instruction in any of the aircraft in the Van Anda Aviation aircraft fleet, which includes a variety of Cessna 172, 182, and Piper PA-28s, as well as some other local rentals. I can also provide instruction in your own airplane. As an owner and frequent flier of a 1984 Mooney M20J, I can also offer Mooney-specific instruction or transition training in your Mooney M20.
I offer the following flight instruction services:
- Private Pilot, Instrument, or Commercial Pilot Certificate Training
- Flight Instructor (CFI) or Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII) Training
- Flight Reviews
- Instrument Proficiency Checks (IPCs)
- High Performance Endorsements
- Mooney Transition Training (in your aircraft only)
Feel free to reach out to me to discuss your flight training goals.
Rates
My standard flight instruction rates are as follows:
- Flight Instruction - $65/hr
- Ground Instruction - $65/hr
- Mooney Transition Training - $90/hr (in your aircraft only)
These prices are based on the flight training being conducted at Orlando Executive Airport (KORL) or Orlando North (FA83). I can also offer instruction at other airports within 50 miles of KORL (for additional mileage charge), or ground instruction via Zoom. I can instruct you in one of the rentals I have available or in your own airplane.
For Flight Reviews, IPCs, High-Performance Endorsements, or other training requiring special paperwork or endorsements, I add a standard 0.3 hours charge for the administrative and paperwork time.
Scheduling
As a part-time instructor, I instruct mainly on evenings and weekends, which works for many of my clients who work throughout normal business hours. If you are a new client, please contact me first (see below) to discuss your flight training goals and schedule.
