Each logbook is generated so the pilot believes they're ready: for a first solo, a first solo cross-country, or a practical test. Most entries are correct. Some logbooks contain good-faith mistakes, the kind applicants really make; some contain none. There are no arithmetic tricks: the column totals always add up.
